Fill The Gaps Holiday Programs

Cognitive Connections cover activities that school-time has no space for. We lay the foundations for specific math concepts so students are able to follow in-school lessons. We do this by:

Using manipulatives, learning materials, visual graphics sheets to introduce, teach and generalize maths concepts.
Explicitly teach and familiarise language and vocabulary of themed topics.
Connecting maths questions with real-life situations through set-up or drama.
Playing games that evaluate, review and reinforce knowledge and ideas.

Some students need a leg-up or a head-start because they take more time to use and understand new vocabulary. They also need some one-to-one time with a tutor to manipulate the concepts around prior knowledge and see how number patterns and certain mathematical ideas work together.

Our holiday programs give students a good introduction or close the gaps for an understanding of topical math ideas in a relaxed, exploratory environment in small groups.
